Participants get to know food industry professions at close quarters/
Countrywide vocation-orientation initiative takes place for the 10th time

Finnentrop/Sauerland, 22 April 2010 - To mark the 10th anniversary of the inception of the "Girls' Day", Metten Fleischwaren played host on this day to around ten young persons of ages between 11 and 14. The countrywide Girls' Day makes it possible for female pupils from classes 5 and higher to get a valuable impression of the areas of technology, IT, the natural sciences and different crafts and trades. The Metten Group took part in the countrywide vocation-orientation initiative for the second time in order to make still more potential applicants aware of its own apprenticeship offers. During the day and in the framework of lectures as well as in the course of a comprehensive tour of the factory the participants were able to learn about future-oriented courses of training and professions in which women are seldom represented up to the present time.
