Metten Fleischwaren GmbH & Co. KG is an independent Sauerland family run business that was founded as a small country butcher's shop in 1902, and is now run by the fourth generation of managing partners Ulrich and Tobias Metten. With 450 employees, Metten produces meat and sausage products in the areas of aspic, cooked ham, boiled and raw sausage as well as canned goods, and therefore generates an annual turnover in the low three-digit million range.

The Metten Group is a competent partner for high-quality meat and sausage specialties, both for the service counter and for the self-service shelf. The company's range includes over 100 products. The most well-known item is definitely the "Dicke Sauerländer” Bockwurst in the blue and red tin. This traditional product has been manufactured for over 60 years according to a family recipe passed down from one generation to another, and is the most popular tinned sausage in Germany today.
